Healthcare employees demonstrated in Zurich this afternoon to demand better working conditions. About 500 people have formed a human chain, respecting measures against the spread of the coronavirus.

The protesters gathered in front of the university hospital at 4.00 pm and then lined up keeping two meters away from each other to form a chain in the direction of the Cantonal Health Department, which is less than a kilometer away. Masks were mandatory during the protest action.

The demonstration was organized by the VPOD Public Services Union and supported by the Syna Union. It is part of the ‘Week of action for health personnel’.
