The rapid tests for detecting infections of coronavirus will be accessible to the public in pharmacies starting from the 2nd of November. Pharmacists predict that by the end of the year, one in three of the approximately 1,800 pharmacies in the country will be able to offer them. Preparations are underway and the association of pharmacists Pharmasuisse indicated in a note that it was initially unclear when the first tests in pharmacies would be carried out.

The goal is to test people with symptoms in accessible places quickly and without complications. Pharmacies are creating an ad system, adapting protection concepts and training employees. Rapid pharmacy testing eases the burden on doctors’ offices, hospitals and test centers, the association writes.
