Françoise Gehring takes office
She is the second woman who will take her seat in the Town Hall - Gehring takes over from Giorgio Comi and will head up the Social Policies Departments and neighbourhood commissions.

She took her oath yesterday in front of justice of the peace Giorgio Romano. The new municipal council of Mendrisio Françoise Gehring Amato (the AlternativA - Verdi and Sinistra together) officially took office during the investiture ceremony.
