Documenting the past, ready for the future

The age of digitization and AI will be very real

I explore and embrace new ideas every day and cannot help but look forward to the trends I see, whether they are positive or negative. I examine them with a pragmatic approach and view how great brands are adapting their historical data for the future. Let’s use our cover story as an example. Established in Switzerland in 1851, Bally is a century-old Swiss luxury company using innovation to digitize its history. Note that a hundred years from now, these files will be fundamental evidence of history, having traveled as if in a time capsule. By that day, many things will have changed: interplanetary travel or settlements on Mars may have become far more accessible. It’s something bigger than us and it will definitely happen. I recently saw a documentary on National Geographic called Year Million: in it they tried to imagine life in the near and not so near future, where artificial intelligence will be paramount and advances in medicine and biology will extend our lives by many, many years. The way we communicate, work and learn will be revolutionized through telepathy and virtual reality. Know that already today everything we do is documented through information generated even by our mobile devices. Imagine that one day there could be an AI version of «you» without you even knowing. I suggest taking a moment to research a little because digitization and AI will be very real. And inevitable.
